Ingredients
● 1 package of Basilicata Inspired Sausages from Marrow Detroit Provisions
● 1 package of rustic brat buns from your favorite local bakery
● 1 small jar of crushed or whole canned Calabrian chilis
● 2 cups of your preferred mayonaise (Duke’s recommended)
● 1 jar of mild or hot Giardiniera
Directions
Marrow Detroit Provisions Basilicata Banger:
Using a stick blender or food processor, blend 2-3 tablespoons of Calabrian chilis into 2 cups of mayonnaise
Transfer to a squirt bottle and set aside in the fridge
Fire up the grill!
Using medium, indirect heat cook sausages until internal temperature reaches 125°
Move to high, direct heat and cook until the Basilicata sausage have your ideal grill markings
Set buns on indirect heat, and prepare toppings
Plate Up:
Split sausages butterfly style 1/3 into the link
Apply one coat of calabrian “aioli” to the inside of your toasted brat buns
Set sausage in buns
Using a slotted spoon, top each sausage and bun with a healthy portion of Giardiniera
